Ofgem consult on smarter energy markets – 15/12/2011

On 15th December, Ofgem released the ‘Promoting Smarter Energy Markets’ document, which seeks views on ‘the scope of a strategy to shape market development from the platform of smart metering’.

Ofgem believe that the smart metering platform will present the opportunity to develop retail energy markets further and that smart meters will provider considerable benefits to gas and electricity consumers.
