How is the graduate programme structured?
The scheme is a two-year, full-time graduate training programme designed to prepare people for a high-impact career in energy trading. During their time with us, they’ll rotate across six different placements from more than 17 desks to chose from such as:
- Trade Control
- Pricing & Market Risk
- Forecasting & Hedging
- Carbon, Renewable & Spot Markets
- Compliance & Regulation
- Trading Desk (6-month final placement)
What will I be doing and what will I learn?
With our structured rotation programme, you’ll gain hands-on experience through shadowing live trading sessions and executing supervised trades. You’ll also have the opportunity to build strong commercial awareness and technical skills (e.g., SQL, Python, VBA, Excel).
How will I be supported?
You’ll be surrounded by an extensive support network, including a buddy, mentor, and internal champion. Additionally, we’ll work with you to understand your development goals for bespoke learning opportunities, including professional certifications, such as, CFA, Energy Risk Professional and technical analyst pathways.
Is this the graduate scheme for me?
We're looking for ambitious graduates who are curious, commercially aware, and driven by purpose. You should be highly numerate with strong analytical skills and an enjoyment for working collaboratively.
What are the entry requirements?
You should be a final year or recent graduate with a minimum 2:1 degree. While previous trading experience is a bonus, it is not a requirement to apply.

Is the scheme open to international graduates?
We are unable to offer visa sponsorships for graduate roles but invite graduates with a valid right to work in the UK to apply.
