The UK has been named as one of the key growth markets as new energy storage capacity continues to surge.
BloombergNEF said global capacity additions are on track to set another record in 2025.
It said supportive policies, procurement by utilities and power market dynamics were supporting a scaling up of capacity in markets including the UK.
Globally, annual energy storage deployment is set to hit an all-time high at 92 GW in 2025, 23% higher than in 2024.
China accounts for over 50% of the annual build in gigawatts, followed by the US at 14%. BloombergNEF expects cumulative energy storage capacity in 2035 to reach 2 terawatts.
