The system operator has set out an updated timeline to deliver connections offers in a move it said would give developers the certainty needed to make investment decisions.

NESO said the updated timeline does not include fixed deadlines but instead sets out latest dates that it is committed to delivering by.
It said wherever possible, it will aim to meet milestones ahead of the “latest by” date,
NESO and the DNOs will begin communicating directly with customers on which projects have been successful in securing a place in the reformed connections queue from December this year.
Kayte O’Neill, Chief Operating Officer, NESO, said the updated timeline is a “crucial move towards achieving clean power by 2030 and will help drive economic growth across Great Britain”.
