Nathan joined SmartestEnergy as Channel Development Manager and took up the role of Head of Channel Sales in 2016, before moving into his current role in 2019.
He is responsible for the management of new business through TPIs and oversees a team of Channel Development Managers and executives, as well as managing and developing SmartestEnergy’s relationship with a number of key and partner TPIs.
Before joining SmartestEnergy Nathan was a Key Accounts Manager with Bergen Energi, managing a portfolio of pan-European and UK clients. He originally joined the energy industry in 2003 as a Customer Relations Manager with RWE npower. Nathan holds a BA Hons in International Relations.
Christian is responsible for key commercial activities such as deal structuring and new proposition development relating to SmartestEnergy’s power supply business.
He joined SmartestEnergy in 2017, bringing 20 years’ commercial experience in the energy sector.
Christian previously worked as a Major Transactions Specialist for E.ON in Germany. Other roles for E.ON have included responsibility for its renewable energy sales of its European portfolio.
He has also served as chairman of the board of the Non-Fossil Purchasing Agency and held senior roles with United Utilities.
Robin joined SmartestEnergy in 2011 as a Key Account Manager before taking the role of Key Accounts Team Manager in 2013. In this role Robin is responsible for the overall management of SmartestEnergy’s strategic Retail and Generation customers.
Robin is a qualified Electrical Engineer with over 30 years of experience in the energy sector, having previously held various roles in contracting, sales and marketing, I & C account management and team management at Eastern Electricity, TXU and E.on.
Jessica is part of the team which manages SmartestEnergy’s relationship with a number of key consultants. She works in partnership with them to develop products, helping them meet their customer requirements.
Jess joined SmartestEnergy in 2016 from Accenture where she had been a Strategic Relationship Manager responsible for key clients. Her career in the energy industry began in 2002 as a Registrations Coordinator with British Gas Business.
Gavin joined SmartestEnergy in 2008 and is now Channel Account Manager Team Leader. In this role he is responsible for the development and maintenance of relationships with Partner TPI’s and managing the Account Management Team. Before joining SmartestEnergy, Gavin worked at Eon for 8 years within Customer Services and Sales roles areas of the business.
Sean joined SmartestEnergy in 2017 as a Channel Development Manager.
In this role Sean is responsible for building strong relationships with TPI’s by understanding their needs and their customer needs. Developing innovative products that meet TPI needs is a crucial aspect of his role.
Sean has over 12 years’ experience in account manager roles within the energy sector including account director for a major energy company in the UK.
Paul joined SmartestEnergy in 2017 and works closely with energy consultants to develop and implement flexible commercial arrangements.
He also builds relationships with new partners to help them benefit from bespoke products and services.
Paul joined SmartestEnergy from Haven Power where he was I&C Key Account Manager.
His career in the industry has also included roles with E.ON Energy and EIC.
Paul has a BA Honours Degree in Business Administration and Human Resource Management from Keele University.
Luke joined SmartestEnergy in 2017 as a Channel Development Manager.
In this role, Luke is responsible for managing and evolving relationships with several key TPIs. He works closely with consultants to provide them with products that meet their customer needs, back by dedicated service and support.
Luke, who has worked both in the UK and Australia, has over 10 years of experience in account manager roles within the energy industry including National Broker Manager for a major TPI in Australia.
Ashley joined SmartestEnergy in 2018 as a Channel Development Manager.
He is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with key TPIs, to deliver products and services that meet their customers needs.
Ashley previously worked in a number of roles at Gazprom Energy which involved people management and leading on some of the largest TPI and Customer portfolios in the market. He also has a BA Hons in Marketing.
Mark joined SmartestEnergy in 2014 as a Key Account Manager. In this role Mark is responsible for the management of SmartestEnergy’s strategic Retail and Generation customers.
Before commencing his role at SmartestEnergy Mark was Account Director at Inenco, raising their profile in the elite £10m+ energy spend market. Mark studied Geography at Birmingham University and has previously held roles with E.on, Corona Energy, Shell Gas and British Gas.
Owen is responsible for number of customer accounts and portfolios, ensuring SmartestEnergy meet individual customer requirements. He focuses on delivering excellent service and bringing new opportunities to add value for customers.
He joined SmartestEnergy in June 2015 as a Proposition Executive in the Marketing Team, focusing on Proposition and Product Development, including the development of our award winning Certified Renewable Product.
Prior to joining SmartestEnergy, Owen was a member of the Rentokil Initial Graduate Scheme, with roles in Marketing & Innovation, Change and Lean Improvement, before moving into Product Marketing on Initial’s global product range.
Charlotte manages SmartestEnergy’s relationships with a number of key Third Party Intermediaries (TPIs) and is responsible for account management and customer renewals. She joined SmartestEnergy in December 2012 as a Sales Support Executive before taking up her current role in 2014. Charlotte, who has worked both in the UK and Australia, has previously held roles in the energy industry as a Customer Service Account Manager for a TPI and a Portfolio Manager at E.ON.
Louise joined SmartestEnergy in 2011 and is one of the Channel Account Manager’s. She is responsible for Managing one of our Partner TPI’s, and various relationships internally and externally within the business. Prior to working here she worked for a TPI, and also worked at E.on Energy for 4 years in a Sales orientated role.
Glenn focuses on clients in the property managing agent sector. His role is to manage both internal and external relationships to ensure effective operation of a significant and growing portfolio. Glenn joined SmartestEnergy in 2013 as a Customer Services Executive where he helped develop and maintain client relationships. His first role in the energy industry was with metering service company Itron.
Jordan manages a diverse portfolio of customers and TPI’s, ensuring that each customer’s needs and requirements are managed effectively and efficiently. He focuses on delivering an excellent service, looking at further opportunities to generate value and innovative opportunities whilst retaining SmartestEnergy customers.
Jordan joined Smartest in 2017 as a Sales Support Executive, learning about the energy industry, internal pricing and further developing his Account Management skills.
Prior to joining Smartest, Jordan attended the University of East Anglia studying BSc Environmental Geography & International Development, whereby Low Carbon Energy and Climate Change was a particular focus.
