SmartestEnergy wins Supplier of the Year 2018!
Company news

Last night we were very excited to pick up The Energy Award for Supplier of the Year at the Hilton Park Lane hotel. The judges praised us for our green thinking and commitment to transparency.

As we celebrate 10 years of our I&C Supply business, we are proud to win back the Supplier of the Year title since our previous win in 2012.

“This is a fantastic achievement to end a year of milestones for SmartestEnergy with record volumes and customer numbers for our supply business. The award recognises our role in driving the energy revolution by championing renewables and supporting a more localised and flexible energy system” says Chief Executive Officer, Robert Groves.

In our submission, we highlighted four key achievements over the last year that shows how we live up to our strapline, 'a next generation energy company':

Driving renewables up the agenda

We have been working with renewable generators since 2001. It's our business pedigree, so we take our responsibility as an aggregator-supplier seriously to drive renewable growth. As a supplier championing renewable generation, we’ve engaged with our I&C customers to get their support. This also aligns with the pressures they face to reduce their carbon footprint and their wider environmental responsibilities.
