The House of Commons’ Energy & Climate Change Committee has launched an inquiry into the “energy revolution”.
MPs will examine which “disruptive technologies and innovation could transform the future energy sector”.
The committee wants to identify three technologies for further investigation.
MPs have posed the question: “Which innovations have the greatest potential to revolutionise energy markets, and why?”
Participants have until 3 May to submit their ideas for which technologies the committee should investigate.
As well as 1,000-word written submissions, the committee is also inviting participants to submit 30-second videos.
“Your enthusiasm and visions for an ‘Energy Revolution’ will help shape the direction of the Committee’s work,” MPs said.
