Chris joined SmartestEnergy’s Renewables team in 2017 from Danish energy trading company Neas Energy.
He works with generators to develop solutions to help them maximise returns in a changing environment for renewable projects.
Chris began his career in the energy sector in 1996 with Eastern Natural Gas. He went on to work as a Generation Services Senior Business Development Manager at RWE npower, developing PPA solutions for customers. He has also worked on the supply side with industrial and commercial users.
His role as Business Development Manager at Neas saw him build its UK PPA and CHP portfolio from market entry.
Chris has a BA in Business Studies from De Montfort University, Leicester.
Robert joined SmartestEnergy in 2017 and is responsible for the development and delivery of bespoke Power Purchase Agreements (PPA).
With almost two decades of experience in the energy sector, he has significant expertise in originating and closing long term, bank financed agreements.
Robert was previously with Total Gas & Power where he spearheaded the building of its UK-based renewable energy portfolio, and also held a number of senior positions in both I&C retail and procurement.
He holds a BA (Hons) in Economics and Public Policy from Leeds Metropolitan University.
Stephen joined SmartestEnergy in August 2011 as a Business Development Manager before becoming Business Development Team Manager in 2017.
In his current role he is responsible for providing SmartestEnergy’s suite of PPA products and services to generation customers.
Stephen, who is based in our Glasgow office, is a qualified Electrical Engineer with over 30 years of experience in the energy sector, having previously held various roles in Contracting and as a Senior Account Manager, Metering Services Engineer and Electrical Engineer within the ScottishPower group.
Matt Neve joined SmartestEnergy in 2008 and has been in his current role as Business Development Manager in the Generation Sales team since 2010. In this role, Matt works closely with generation customers across Great Britain, negotiating and structuring Power Purchase Agreements to help them maximise the return on their projects.
Prior to joining SmartestEnergy, Matt was part of the B2B Industrial & Commercial Sales Team working in Commercial Pricing and Account Management at E.ON Energy.
Alex joined SmartestEnergy in 2017 and helps existing and new generation customers benefit from our range of fixed, flexible, and managed Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).
He also provides account management and support to customers.
Alex previously worked as Business Development Manager for power plant operator PeakGen Power and prior to that held a number of roles with renewable energy services and consultancy firm TradeLink Solutions.
He holds a BA Honours Degree in History from Oxford Brookes University, and a Graduate Diploma in Law from the University of Westminster.
James works closely with existing generation customers to ensure their accounts are managed to a high standard. He also builds relationships with new customers to help them maximise their strategies to sell power.
He joined SmartestEnergy in 2017 from EDF Energy where as Export Originator he was responsible for working with operators of renewable & CHP generating stations, TPIs and Energy Traders. His previous roles with the company included Senior Renewable Generation Analyst.
James has a BA (Hons) Business Studies from Nottingham Trent University.
