Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Accountant with 3–5 years of experience to support key functions across Tax, Treasury, Payroll, and Compliance. This role provides critical support to the Finance team by ensuring accurate reporting, timely payments, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across multiple areas of accounting and finance, with strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.

In this role, you will be involved with the following:

Treasury & Cash Management

  • Assist with daily cash positioning, cash flow forecasting, and bank reconciliations.
  • Monitor wire transfers, ACH payments, and intercompany funding.
  • Support management of banking relationships and compliance with internal controls.

Tax & Compliance

  • Assist in preparing and filing sales & use tax, payroll tax, and other indirect tax returns.
  • State and PUC Compliance and Registrations
  • Support corporate tax compliance efforts, including data gathering and audit support.
  • Maintain compliance documentation and ensure adherence to financial policies, SOX/internal controls, and regulatory requirements.

Payroll

  • Enter bi-weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness into ERP
  • Reconcile payroll-related accounts (taxes, benefits, withholdings, etc.) monthly
  • Record any Payroll Related entries monthly

Accounting & Reporting

  • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for treasury, tax, and payroll-related accounts.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end activities close.
  • Provide support during audits (internal and external).


To be successful in this role, you are likely to have the following skills/experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or experience in the related field
  • Greater than 3 years relevant experience.
  • Accuracy is crucial in processing Invoices to avoid errors and discrepancies.
  • Energetic, driven and committed to success while working under tight time constraints and pressure.
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively within teams and independently.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication with 3rd Parties, internal teams, and management is essential.
  • Familiarity with accounting software like QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is often required.
