NESO had asked for more time for issuing Gate 2 Phase 1 offers under the connections reform process.
The regulator said extending the deadline for completing pre-2030 connection offers from 30 September until 31 October was in the interests of consumers.
NESO had requested more time due to factors including the complexity and engineering issues related to some projects. Around 62 projects are affected.
“In this instance granting a further, limited extension of time is justified, proportionate and in the interests of consumers, and mitigation measures have been put in place to reduce impacts on affected customers,” said the regulator.
