Overview

The Associate Channel Partner Manager (ACPM) plays a pivotal role in supporting and enhancing the sales process for the Channel Partner Managers (CPM) and the Sales team as a whole. This position is critical in driving growth and fostering strong partnerships with channel partners to achieve business objectives.

The ACPM role will be key in expanding the capabilities of the individual CPMs and the overall Sales team performance. This person will create continuity in the channel relationships with consistent communication, coverage, and support as the CPMs require for various reason such as vacation, business travel and overflow volume.

As the expectations, responsibilities and goals increase for the CPMs the coverage and support provided by the ACPM will allow for the key activities to effectively manage the strategic relationships in the marketplace.

In this role, you will be involved with the following:

  • Support Channel Partner Managers: Collaborate closely with Channel Partner Managers to develop and execute strategic sales plans, ensuring alignment with overall business goals when CPM requires coverage.
  • Sales Process Enhancement: Continuously identify opportunities to optimize the sales process, streamline workflows, and implement best practices to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Channel Partner Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with channel partners, serving as a secondary point of contact for inquiries, support, and collaboration.
  • Sales Process Support: Provide support, including preparing proposals, presentations, and contracts, and assisting with sales negotiations as needed.
  • Training and Development: Support the training and development of channel partners, providing resources, tools, and guidance to enhance their sales effectiveness and product knowledge.
  • Responsible for providing sales expertise and appropriate resources to support Channel Partner sales force to reach and exceed target sales volume goals.
  • Assist the Channel Partners in developing and implementing a successful business plan.
  • Evaluate current sales performance statistically to highlight areas of opportunities.

To be successful in this role, you are likely to have the following skills/experience:

  • Experience in sales support, channel partner management, or related roles, preferably in the energy industry.
  • Proficiency in sales and marketing principles, strategies, and tactics, with the ability to develop and execute effective sales plans and campaigns.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, product management, and customer service, to achieve common goals and objectives.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development to stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
  • Basic project management skills to plan, execute, and monitor sales initiatives and campaigns, ensuring timely delivery and successful outcomes.
