In April 2019, SmartestEnergy US initiated its operations as a modest energy provider, specializing in fully fixed products within the NYISO region. With a team of just nine dedicated professionals, SEUS embarked on an ambitious organic growth strategy, aiming to establish a resilient presence in the dynamic energy sector. This journey was made possible through the steadfast support and guidance provided by both SmartestEnergy UK and Marubeni Corporation. Navigating the intricacies of the ever-evolving energy landscape, SmartestEnergy US effectively charted a course for sustained growth.

In the span of merely four years, we take immense pride in our remarkable expansion. Our team has burgeoned to encompass over 60 dedicated professionals. Our diversified portfolio now encompasses pivotal business areas, including Trading, Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), and Origination. With a robust array of products and services, we have extended our reach, offering support to more than 40 utilities across eight states and the District of Columbia (D.C.).

Celebrating our fourth-year anniversary, SmartestEnergy US expanded its operations into the ISO-NE region in April 2023, further reinforcing our unwavering commitment to driving innovation and shaping the future of the energy sector. Concurrently, the SmartestEnergy Group underwent a comprehensive rebranding initiative, aligning our corporate identity with the core values we hold. Our overarching mission is to lead the transition toward a 100% renewable energy system, one that promises a brighter and more sustainable future for all. This entails not only offering flexible and innovative solutions for the procurement and sale of renewables but also actively fostering education and awareness to collectively realize this ambitious vision.
