Understanding your invoice

For most of our customers, once your contract is signed, your contact with us will centre around your invoice, delivered monthly by email.

We often use these emails to let you know about valuable information that might affect your invoice, for example if a change has been made to a government mandated rate.

Large-market electricity invoices can be complex, and if you are unfamiliar with them then it may seem like a lot of information. To help you better understand your invoice please review our bill explainer.

 

Invoice or statement?

If you have multiple sites with SmartestEnergy you can choose to receive a consolidated statement along with your individual site level invoices. This allows you to see a summary level of your charges and payments due.

If you want to add the statement option to your invoices, then you can do this at any time during your contract. If you have any further questions in relation to your invoices, please don’t hesitate to contact our local customer service team.

 

EDIs and reporting

Alongside your invoice, you may need specific data for your reporting or tracking requirements. Visiting My Account is the first step you should take; here you can download your historical invoices, view your daily usage profiles or export your meter data. If you need an EDI, or other specific reporting, then contact our team to discuss your requirements.
