AR8 application window opens to developers

The application window for the upcoming AR8 CfD auction has now opened

According to the Government’s current timeline, developers have until 7 August to submit their CfD application ahead of making sealed bids.

The budget for the latest auction round will be decided after applications have been assessed with results expected to be announced between late November and February.

The Government has previously announced that administrative strike prices for the upcoming CfD auction will remain at the levels set in the previous round.

Solar and onshore wind will have separate pots, along with ones for offshore wind and floating offshore wind. Less established technologies such as landfill gas and geothermal will also have their own pot.
