Situated in the Shetland Islands in Scotland, Nova Innovation's tidal array generates clean, predictable electricity by harnessing the natural ebb and flow of the tide. The six turbines boast a capacity of 600MW, providing a reliable and renewable microgrid for the island, directly benefitting the local community, and with battery storage and EV charge points connected to the microgrid, they created the world's first electric vehicle (EV) charge point powered purely by the tide!
