As a champion of renewable generators, we continue to support the UK’s decarbonisation efforts and help generators navigate the complex post-subsidy world. We also pride ourselves on offering 100% renewable electricity supply products, which are certified by the Carbon Trust.
Why power your business with renewables?
If you are a sustainability-minded business, or want to play a part in the UK’s efforts to achieve net-zero by 2050, purchasing renewable electricity ensures that you are on the right track. With our Carbon Trust certification process, you can trust that every renewable megawatt hour comes from renewable sources backed by UK-recognised origin certificates.
With this confidence, businesses can report zero-carbon emissions when procuring our renewable electricity using the market-based method in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol Scope 2 Guidance.
With our experience supporting RE100 companies – committed to 100% renewable power procurement – we are in a position to support customers who are setting such targets, as well as those making a switch to renewables as a first step, or those signing up for their first contract with us.

What’s involved in the certification process?
The Carbon Trust independently certify our renewable products, which means that you don’t have to take our word for it that we’re doing the right thing.
Annually, the Carbon Trust assure that our supply products and their related fuel mixes comply with the quality criteria required by the GHG Protocol Scope 2 Guidance. Their label is designed to give customers the confidence to report zero emissions for purchased electricity using the market-based method.
A key part of the Carbon Trust certification process includes the regular monitoring of our renewable certificates and their allocation, ensuring we have enough certificates to match every renewable megawatt hour we supply. Further, guaranteeing our customers’ certificate-backed renewable electricity for the length of their contract.
